Our Breeding Facility
Our Breeding Facility: A Legacy of Care and Commitment:
Establishing Our Facility: In 1999, we made a significant investment in a 140,000 sq. ft. building, laying the foundation for our breeding operation. At the time, our focus was primarily on breeding Lemurs and Sugar Gliders.
Challenges Faced: In
2017, our facility faced an unfortunate incident when it was targeted by exotic animal brokers from around the world. Regrettably, we experienced a theft resulting in the loss of over a million dollars' worth of irreplaceable animals, some of which were rare exotics. Despite our efforts, the thieves remained unidentified and unapprehended.
Facility Standards:
In response to this incident, we made the decision to close our facility to visitors. We take pride in maintaining impeccable conditions within our facility, ensuring the health and well-being of our animals. Our annual USDA inspections and biannual reviews by the Fish and Wildlife Department of Nevada serve as testaments to our commitment to compliance and care.
Dedicated Team:
Our dedicated team, consisting of 18 staff members and a veterinarian, works tirelessly around the clock, 365 days a year, to ensure the welfare of our animals. We deeply value their unwavering commitment.
Expanding Offerings:
As of 2019, our facility offers a range of animals, including Lemurs, Spider Monkeys, Raccoons, Sugar Gliders, various fox species, and exclusive breeding of specific species for American Zoos. We are proud to be a reliable supplier of Sugar Gliders, serving the Midwest and Texas regions with over 360 breeding gliders.
Our facility's commitment to animal care and compliance with regulatory standards is evident in our operations, and it reflects our dedication to the well-being of the animals we breed and care for.
